General Usage Precautions
Firstly, always use the food-grade hose within the recommended temperature and pressure range. This ensures its safety and optimal performance.
Secondly, since the hose expands and contracts with its internal pressure, it’s advisable to cut the hose to a length slightly longer than what you actually need. This extra length allows for the natural movement of the hose without causing stress or damage.
Moreover, when applying pressure, open and close any valve slowly. Doing so helps avoid shock pressure, which can be harmful to the pu hose and the connected equipment.
Also, use the hose under conditions that meet or exceed its bending radius. Failing to do so can cause the PU duct hose to break and reduce its pressure resistance.
When using the hose to convey powder or granules, be aware that wear and tear may occur depending on the conditions. In such cases, enlarge the bending radius of the flexible hose as much as possible to minimize damage.
In addition, avoid using the hose in an extremely bent state near metal parts. This can lead to abrasion and premature failure of the hose.
Furthermore, never put the hose in direct contact with or close to an open flame, as this poses a significant fire risk and can damage the hose.
Finally, do not let vehicles or apply other pressure to step on the hose, as this can easily cause internal damage and compromise its integrity.
Precautions Regarding Fluids
Regarding the fluids conveyed by the hose, two important rules apply. First, the PU steel wire hose must be suitable for the specific fluid you intend to transfer. Using an inappropriate hose can lead to chemical reactions, leaks, or other hazards.
Second, before using the hose with substances like oil, powder, toxic chemicals, strong acids, or alkalis, consult the product supplier. They can provide valuable advice on compatibility and safe usage.
