PVC can also be processed into food-grade hoses, but there is a risk of purification and use of additives, and it requires high process and technical requirements. The safety of the conveyed object is very important. If the stability of the hose is poor, it will easily dissolve with the conveyed material, which will cause contamination of the food, but the PU steel wire hose has a good resistance to hydrolysis and antimicrobials, Is a safe food grade hose choice.
3. Use environment
Attention must be paid to what objects are transported, including the environment and temperature of the transported objects. Generally, food-grade PU and PVC can be used at normal temperature, but special attention must be paid when transporting objects at higher and lower temperatures.
Under high temperature environment, the stability of PVC will deteriorate, and the phenomenon of dissolution will occur easily. According to relevant data, PVC is prone to produce toxins at high temperatures. Therefore, PVC steel wire hoses are not suitable for use at temperatures exceeding 50 degrees Celsius. It has good stability and does not produce toxic substances. At low temperatures, PVC must be added with additives to maintain low temperature softness. PU steel hose can still maintain good mechanical properties at minus 35 degrees Celsius. Its excellent characteristics are unmatched.
