As a kind of large quantity and wide range of fire fighting equipment, with the development of society and economy in our country, in order to meet the needs of national modernization construction, the quality of fire fighting hose has also put forward higher requirements. With the development of science and technology in our country at the same time, more and more new technology is applied to the fire hose industry, such as lining fire hose outer layer with high strength polyester yarn braided layer as the strip (partial product special double strip), fiber textile layer outside the article has wear fixed, polyurethane (TPU) lining hose and other new products constantly, fire hose quality has reached the international advanced level in our country.
These new products compared to the traditional natural rubber lining hose and synthetic rubber lining hose are the product of technological innovation, they have many characteristics of both rubber and plastic: One is high strength, its tear strength is about 3 times of natural rubber; Two is good wear resistance, about 3-5 times of natural rubber; Three is good oil resistance, and the affinity of non-mineral oil is small, in the fuel oil almost not eroded; Four is good weather resistance, in 80℃~90℃ high temperature environment continuous use of invariant type, at 50℃~-70℃C low temperature is not embrittlement; Weight per unit length is more than 40% lighter than rubber.
First, fire hose lining
The lining of fire hose usually requires uniform thickness, smooth inner wall, non-adhesion, non-wrinkling, waterproof, mildew resistance, low temperature resistance and aging resistance, and has a certain strength and elasticity.
Some hose lining must also have oil resistance, high temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and other properties. Lining thickness is generally 0.5~2.0mm. TPU lining has high strength, good elasticity, wear resistance, low temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, oil resistance and aging resistance. The physical properties of TPU lining generally require that the tensile strength is not less than 13.80MPa and the elongation at break is not less than 400%. There are many TPU brands available, which can basically meet the requirements. TPU is divided into polyester, polyether and polycarbonate type.
At present, China’s fire hose manufacturers basically use polyether type TPU to produce high quality TPU fire hose.

Second, adhesive layer

According to the different production process of each manufacturer, it can be divided into two kinds: solvent-dissolved TPU hanging adhesive production and adhesive layer and inner tube co-extrusion. The bonding strength and aging resistance between the lining and the strip embryo are determined by the amount of adhesive and the properties of the adhesive.
