Before produce, there will be several “Inhuman and brutal” tests. Actually, ASE and ISO standard have made clear definition to the test methods and evaluate standards. The test including the following aspects.
Salt mist test
Salt mist test is a kind of accelerate tests. It firstly atomize saline with certain concentration. Then spray it into a closed thermostat. Looking the changes of hydraulic hose fitting after a period to see the corrosion resistance.
The evaluation standard is to compare the time that oxide appear on the fitting with the designed objective. If the oxide appears later than the designed time, it means it’s a high quality hose. Of course, if choose stainless steel fitting, you don’t have to worry about the corrosion.
Burst test
Burst test is a kind of destructive tests and normally focus on the hose assembly pressed within 30 days. Pressure with a constant speed to 4 times working pressure to make sure the min burst pressure. Be aware that you should pressure constantly and don’t pressure sharply. It will cause the hose burst within the burst pressure and can’t get the experimental effect.
If there is leakage, bulge, burst or fitting falling within the min burst pressure, the hose is unqualified.
