During cleaning, try to avoid frequently opening and closing the handheld high-pressure spray gun. This reduces the impact of pressure pulses on the hose. In turn, it helps extend the hose’s service life. Besides that, pay special attention to the bends near high-pressure pipe joints. Sharp bends here can damage the hose. Moreover, coat the joints with anti-rust oil. This protects them from high temperatures, high pressure, and corrosion.
Never let the actual pressure exceed 1.25 times the hose’s specified pressure. If it does, the hose’s service life will drop by 50%. If you need to bend the hose, make sure the bending radius is not too small. In general, the radius should be at least 15 times the hose’s outer diameter. If it’s smaller, the steel wires on the hose’s outer side will stretch. At the same time, the steel wires on the inner side will compress. This reduces the compressive strength of the entire high-pressure pipe.
