Plastic Hoses
Plastic hoses include PVC, PE, PTFE, and PU varieties. Generally, they offer long service lives.
How to Store Plastic Hoses
First, store hoses in a cool, dry, well-ventilated room. Avoid temperatures above +45°C, as stagnant hot air can deform hoses. Note: Direct sunlight can raise temperatures inside hose reels.
Next, adjust stacking height based on product type and ambient temperature. Hose reels may deform under higher weights in summer heat.
Additionally, keep hoses tension-free to prevent stress, pressure, or cracking. Tension can cause permanent deformation.
For outdoor storage:
Never expose hoses to direct sunlight.
Keep packages unsealed to avoid trapped heat.
Shield hoses from UV rays and ozone.
How to Transport Plastic Hoses
During transport, hoses face greater stress than in storage due to constant movement. High summer temperatures combined with truck vibrations can cause permanent deformation. Thus, reduce stack height during transport compared to storage.
Never:
Throw, run over, or step on hoses.
Drag hoses on the ground, as this damages the outer layer and may deform spirals.
