First, open the plug screw at the pump’s bottom and drain the lubricant from the pump chamber.
Next, loosen and remove the clamps, hose clamps, and other fasteners at the inlet and outlet.
Then, pull the inner plug tube out of the hose mouth and remove the flange.
Start the motor and let it run—direction (forward or reverse) doesn’t matter.
After that, pull out the old hose and clean the pump chamber thoroughly.

Coat one end of the new rubber hose with a little lubricating oil. Insert this lubricated end into the pump cavity through the inlet. Start the motor to move the hose until it reaches the correct position at the outlet, then turn off the motor.
Insert the inner plug (or flanged inner plug) into one end of the hose. Lock the clamp and hose clamp securely.
Start the motor and jog it in reverse. Repeat step 7 to install the other end of the hose, then lock its clamp and hose clamp.
Add fresh lubricating oil—this completes the hose replacement.
Adjust the hose, then start the motor and run it forward and reverse. Check that the hose isn’t twisted or bent internally—no banging sounds should occur.

Start the motor, block the inlet with your hand, and feel the pump’s strong suction. You should hear a distinct banging inhalation sound here.
Reverse the motor, block the other end with your hand, and feel the suction again. A banging inhalation sound should occur here too.
