What is the Difference Between Oxygen Hose and Acetylene Hose?
The oxygen hose and the acetylene hose have different colors and different working pressure standards. The working pressure of the oxygen hose is higher than that of the acetylene hose, so the oxygen hose should be stronger, according to the current national standards, the oxygen hose is blue and the acetylene hose is red. The oxygen hose working pressure is 1.5MPa, the inner diameter of the hose is 8mm, and the outer diameter is 18mm; the acetylene hose is black, the working pressure is 0.3MPa, the inner diameter of the hose is 8mm, and the outer diameter is 16mm.
Three color combinations of welding hose:
Red and green: The red is oxygen hose, the green is acetylene hose
Red and Black: red is oxygen and black is acetylene
Red and Blue: Red is oxygen and blue acetylene
Safety matters of oxygen and acetylene hose:
1.The joints and pipes of the hose should be strictly prevented from leaking. The oxygen and acetylene hose should be blown clean before connection, and it is allowed to use it after confirming that there is no water in the hose. It is forbidden to use oxygen to blow off the blockage of the acetylene gas hose, prevent the formation of a mixture of oxygen and acetylene in the hose.
2.If the acetylene rubber hose falls off, ruptures or catches fire during use, first extinguish the flame of the welding gun, and then stop the gas supply.
3.Acetylene and oxygen hoses should be protected from grease or metal solution during the working time.
4.Avoid exposure of the Acetylene and oxygen hoses to sunlight, hot body baking, rain and snow, and prevent acid, alkali, oil and organic solvents from contacting the hose.
