First is the mixing material
The quality of raw rubber, carbon black, oil and ingredient directly affect the result of mixing and the quality of rubber material.
Second is the material adding sequence
Reasonable material adding sequence is helpful to the mixing homogeneity. If the sequence is improper, it will affect the homogeneity of materials. Worse more, it will cause the materials can’t cluster or over mixing, even scorching. These will reduce the rubber materials’ property and make the following process hard to continue. So you have to charges according to the regulation.
Mixing temperature
During the banburying, the mixing temperature is about 130℃ and the discharge temperature is about 130-140℃. Lower temperature cause materials scatter while higher temperature causes materials soft and hard to scatter. So pay attention to the cooling water and the heating adjustment to control the mixing temperature.
Mixing time
A shorter mixing time will cause uneven ingredient dispersion and plasticity. Then the mechanical property will be uneven as well. A longer mixing time will cause over mixing and reduce the mechanical property.
There are two important times during the charge. First is the oil charge time. If charge oil earlier, the carbon black will not spread, then reduce the mechanical property. In another hand, if charge oil later, it will cause slipping inside the materials. According to relevant information, charge oil 1.5-2 minutes later after the carbon black charging. The temperature should be around 120℃ and the carbon black dispersion is the best.
The other is delayed action accelerator charge time. Earlier charge will cause the accelerator resolve and lose the aftereffect. Later charge will cause the accelerator eliminate during the rubber discharge and then reduce the property.
