Normally there are two reasons that the heater is not hot. One is the problem in cooling system and the other one is problem of heater control parts. You can check the temperature of two inlet hoses of the heater tank. If the two hoses are hot enough, that means the heater control group works well. While if one hose is hot and the other is cold, that means there is any problem in the cooling system.
The cooling system problems are as follow:
1. There is air-resistor in the cooling system, then cause the cooling recycle system doesn’t work as normal. Further cause heater is not hot. If the inlet hose is hot but the outlet hose is cold, that means the water tank is blocked. Thus, you should change it.
2. The pump impeller is broken. This cause less water flow through the water tank, then cause the heater is not hot. You can change a new impeller to solve such problem.
3. Over-early open the thermostat will cause cooling system works ahead. In the meantime, the cold air outside cools the antifreeze rapidly. Therefore the temperature of water tank is not high enough. As a result, the heater is not hot. On such occasion, you can adjust the thermostat or repair in.
The problem in the heater control system may be block of the filter. This cause less air blow into the hose or bad distribution of hot and cold air. You should also check if the control plate fall. Besides, check the blower to see if the revolution is normal.
