Food Grade Hose Introduction
Food-grade hoses are also known as FDA-grade hoses. Food-grade hoses are very soft and resistant to microorganisms, used to transport beer, wine, drinking water, cereals, powders, flour, dry grains, oils, syrups, dairy products, fruit juices, etc. Food-grade hoses are designed to transport a wide range of fluids without smell or taste and are specifically designed for hygienic suction and drainage applications.
Food-grade hoses are widely used in food manufacturing plants for production in a safe and hygienic environment. The most common applications include: food factories for making beer, wine, water, milk, juice, soda, flour and fish.
Food-grade hoses are used to transport large quantities of food through suction or pneumatic systems. These suction and exhaust hoses are specially manufactured to maintain food quality and prevent contaminants from being exposed to foreign materials.
Food handling, hygiene or food-grade hoses must meet FDA-defined standards and, in most cases, meet standards established by non-profit governing bodies under 3A sanitary conditions. The FDA sets specifications for hose materials such as polymers, fillers, plasticizers and other physical “components” of hoses. On the other hand, 3A tests the hose under practical conditions to test the strength of the product, its reaction to cleaning and hygienic solvents, and the absorption of grease. Suitable for general food processing applications. Recommended for liquid or semi-solid, including oily foods. Ozone and wear cover.
For flexibility, food-grade hoses are made of rubber. However, they have an internal stainless steel wire spiral structure to provide strength and durability.
Tasteless: Food-grade hoses are tasteless and maintain the actual taste of the food.
High-pressure high-quality hoses: High-quality food hoses maintain a high-pressure supply. In wine and beer applications, it is particularly important to maintain supply pressure.
Food-grade high temperature hoses: Food-grade hoses are specifically designed to meet the harsh conditions of food processing plants. They can withstand harsh handling and high temperatures.
